The Fine Print - Our Explainers and Disclaimers
Information in restaurant listings is not guaranteed; these places open, close, move and change hands, chefs, etc. all the time. We do our best to stay on top of things, but keep in mind this is a guide, not the gospel. We recommend you call ahead to verify hours of operation, especially if you’re going to be heading out late.
If you see anything on our website that does not accurately reflect the restaurant in question, its menu, or other detail, please e-mail us using our web-based contact form asap.
Price ranges reflect the approximate price per couple for a three-course dinner with a simple wine, taxes and tip.
Reasonable: up to $80
Moderate: $80 to $100
Expensive: more than $100
Many restaurants that do not have kids menus are still more than willing to whip up a little something special for the little ones. If you’re dining with children and are considering a restaurant that does not have a kids menu, give them a call to see if they will be able to whip something up. Chances are they will — but best to call and make sure before being seated.
We define wheelchair accessibility as unassisted wheelchair access. This means full access to the front door without having to navigate any stairs, and the ability to use the restrooms as well.
The number of vegetarian options available can fluctuate as menus and specials (as well as chefs, owners, etc) change. The number represents the number of main course menu items that would arrive vegetarian if ordered without modifications. Many establishments are more than happy to accommodate vegetarian diners, and will hold the meat (and sometimes even throw in some tofu or TVP) if asked nicely. For our purposes, vegetarian means no meat whatsoever — no chicken, no fish. It does not mean vegan (no eggs, dairy, or other animal byproducts).
